Tomorrow!

Hello friends!

Tomorrow is the day!! I cannot believe it is finally here. I depart from MSP airport tomorrow at 1:45 p.m. and will be in Australia at 7:30 a.m. August 31st! I'm am so excited!

At the moment my mom and I are attempting to get everything copied, folded, and packed. My room the past couple of days has been a complete disaster, and after this week I have decided I need a break from shopping (I know that one is a shocker!). Now, for those of you that know me you already know that I hate packing. I typically wait until the last minute to gather all of my things together, and don't finish packing until minutes before I'm supposed to leave for someplace. Example: this year when my siblings and I were getting ready to leave for camp, I didn't start packing until 7 a.m. that morning. Yup, that is procrastination at its finest right there.  Anyway, no procrastination today! Everything will be packed and triple checked before I leave  for the cities tomorrow morning. Joyous!

Next update I shall be in the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia!

Time keeps on ticking...

Hello!
I cannot believe there is only 3 1/2 weeks left until I board the plane to my new home for the next 4 months. That is crazy! I am beyond excited, but the fears are starting to set in.

Currently I feel very unprepared for the trip of a lifetime. Yes, I have the basic school supplies: pens, pencils, notebooks, folders, etc, and my visa, acceptance letter, and passport. However, I am lacking in pretty much everything else: wardrobe (no winter jacket and winter boots this semester!), outlet converters, shoes, and just the basic things to make it through the semester like shampoo, conditioner, and face wash. I have been reading articles on what to pack, but come on now if you have seen my shoe collection, that alone will fill up 2 suitcases. Yikes.

I'm sure everything will come together in the next few weeks but only time will tell as the day gets closer.
